A Little About Me
Hi, I'm Avishek Das, from the small town of Uluberia in Howrah (West Bengal), India.
I did my PhD in Chemistry under the supervision of Prof. Nitin T. Patil in the Department of Chemistry, IISER Bhopal. Presently, I am working as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at IISc Bangalore.
Besides my research work, I enjoy Landscape Photography, learning new features in various software, and listening to music.

What We Do in Lab
My research interest is based on the development of efficient methodologies employing the concept of ligand enabled Oxidative Gold Catalysis.
More specifically, we synthesize small molecules utilizing gold-catalyzed cross-coupling reactions. Noteworthy, the complementary reactivities and selectivities offered by gold catalysts provide an alternative over other transition-metal-catalyzed cross-coupling reactions.
